Trying to change the threshold for the top 10 disk space list view.

I'm trying to change the threshold of warning and critical status. I can't seem to find the location or an article explaining this issue.

I apologize if I've missed the article some where.... but I did search the forum before posting.

Is there also a way to take away the Label from all of the volumes rather than going into each one specifically and renaming it? We just want the drive letter to show up, nothing else.TopTh

I'm also having an issue trying to change the advanced alerts volume disk space to per device rather than every device. Need to make the thresholds different for specific servers. This might be two different issues, I'm not sure.

There is no way within the product today for drives to be named simply buy their drive letter and not include the label without editing the volume name and removing the volume label manually as you're already are doing.

Volume thresholds for linear gauges on the Orion web console can be changed globally by going to "Settings -> Orion Thresholds" as pictured below.

Creating alerts for specific volumes is farily straightforward. Below is an example for alerting on a single volume when it exceeds less than 5% of available space.

Here's another example that shows how to do this same type of alert for multiple volumes. More can be added to this trigger condition as needed.

To change the threshold, go to settings -> Orion thresholds. But this is a global setting for all drives,.

For your advanced alert question. This is possible but you would either need to make a different alert for each server, or make different conditions that match each server and set the thresholds. It would probably be easier to use custom properties and match the servers with these values. Example, small, medium, large.

I am not sure about your 2nd question. Maybe someone else knows of a shortcut.

I've set up additional volume custom properties for warning & for critical so that I can ignore the system wide defaults and specify individual thresholds for each volume. Also I've set up a bolean CP so that the volume can be marked as "I dont care, because this volume is designed to run full" so that I can exclude it from space alerting. These new CPs were all initially set at the Orion defaults, but when alerts occur the help desk can then exclude volumes or correct the threshold levels on a volume by volume basis or they might even clear some space on the volume .
