I've been asked to put Opsgenie in and make it work with Solarwinds. Does anyone else run Opsgenie with Solarwinds and if you do why? Surely everything you can do with Opsgenie you can do with Solarwinds. The key feature seems to be the fact that Opsgenie can produce voice and sms notifications to end users to add functionality to Solarwinds alerts. So if I can do that with Solarwinds and avoid Opsgenie I'd like to do that.
The information on the Opsgenie site seems to be vague regarding what you get with each package. I'm hoping someone here has done it.
They already have ManageEngine too. I've tried to persuade them to use WHD and will continue to as the version of ManageEngine they are running is on a shared platform and they can't do any configuration to it.
