We are a 1:1 school district and collect the student chromebooks at the end of each school year. I am trying to find an easy and quick way to remove the clients from the devices when they turn them. Does anyone know of a way I can remove the client with either an asset import or doing a bulk change? I've tried to do the asset import leaving the client blank but if I tell it not to ignore blank fields it requires every single filed I already have info in to be filled in. I was looking for a way to simply scan the asset tag and use that to remove the clients. Or even creating a new generic client I would use as the new client and then look up all assets assigned to that client and then do a bulk change but I don't see a way to do that either. With 12,000 devices I would prefer not to do this individually.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could accomplish this?
