Move Orion to Azure??

Hi all-

My organization is global. We currently have three separate instances of Orion on three different continents. Our plan is to collapse them all into one, single instance. Luckily we (barely) stay under the 200 ms RTT between locations so I can put APEs in the remote sites. As I'm building up my new environment, I've been exploring whether or not to put Orion and the DB into Azure instead of keeping on-prem. I was hoping the community could give me pros, cons and experiences with doing that. And, whether or not to keep the APEs on-prem vs in Azure and whether or not I should add an APE in the main location if we put Orion in Azure.

If you go to the orion platform documentation Orion Documentation - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support There's a document detailing how to deploy solarwinds to Azure.

This alas does not contain support for Azure DB, however the good news is that Azure DB support is listed on the NPM roadmap What We're Working on for NPM (Updated December 5th, 2018)

Thanks, Serena. I had come across that document during my research. I was hoping to get community feedback on their efforts to move to Azure. Did it go well or there were hiccups along the way, etc. Where they decided to put the APE's and why, etc.
