I am looking to pull out some custom data from form submitted tickets for easy visibility in our queues. Is there any way to automatically add <custom_#> into a tech note using action rules?
Those variables are only used in email tempates
If you have set your WHD up so that it can email itself you could add a note via an email in an automatic action.
Just use a subject of Ticket <ticket_id> and you can use the <tags> in the email.
This does open the possibility of infinite email loops.
