SAM Hardware Status

Maybe im being stupid or something but I'm trying to create a view to summarize HP Server Health.

I created a new view and called it "HP Hardware Status" type = APM Hardware Details

I added any one of the following

SAM Hardware Health - Hardware Health resources for SAM

Current Hardware Health

Hardware Details

Hardware Health

Hardware Health Chart for Fans

Hardware Health Chart for Power Supply (A)

Hardware Health Chart for Power Supply (V)

Hardware Health Chart for Power Supply (W)

Hardware Health Chart for Temperature

There are no limitations on my account or view. But when I preview it I get the following "Could not locate a network device for view HP Hardware Status. You may have created a view limitation that is too restrictive."

Anyone any ideas?

When previewing a customized view first node from the database is always taken to generate preview. This node has probably nothing to do with HP hw monitoring. Try to edit URL by entering correct number after N:. You have to find correct number for HP server first. Try opening the node details page for the server and check URL. Feature request for NPM and SAM?

Hi, I thought because it was a Summary View it wouldnt be restricted to a specific Node (eg when I preview I get the following http://server/orion/Admin/Preview.aspx?ID=123) I'm trying to create a few similar to HP Insight Management that will show all the current hardware status?

Today server hardware health information can only be summarized on a summary view using embedded reports created in the Orion Report Writer. If you look at the "What we're working on" for SAM blog posting you'll find that we're currently working on a hardware health summary resource for SAM.
