Embed web page into email alert?

Hi,

I have over 50 servers in Orion 9.1 SP5 and wondered it any device goes down ect you will get an email to say it is down and a graph embeded for that node for it's ap[cket loss?

I am not sure if you can embed, but will I have to create 50 alert rules for each server?

Hi,

It is possible to use a variable in the URL to avoid creating one alert per node.

the following thread gives you further details:

Apply the same method for the NodeDetails view or a single graph.

Hi,

I can see what they are doing but can't see how I can do this to my graphs, for example this is a link to on eof my packet loss graphs:

http://server:81/Orion/NetPerfMon/CustomChart.aspx?ChartName=AVGRTLOSS&Title=&SubTitle=&SubTitle2=&Width=0&Height=0&NetObject=N:115&CustomPollerID=&Rows=&SampleSize=30M&Period=Today&PlotStyle=&FontSize=1&NetObjectPrefix=N&SubsetColor=&RYSubsetColor=&ResourceID=13

Alert in the email is = Alert: ${NodeName} is ${Status}

I need to somehow use the node name in the url to show the correct page and a username and password

Have you tried the following URL?

server:81/.../CustomChart.aspx

I used ${NodeID} instead of the static ID 115.

I should have searched this post first. I have very similar situation with the GonzoUK.

Have you tried the following URL?
server:81/.../CustomChart.aspx
I used ${NodeID} instead of the static ID 115.

This page cannot be sent by the Alert Manager directly.

What I did was to create a custom HTML in Admin>manage view then attached the link.

Then preview it and copy the address and paste it to the alert manager web page address.

Problem is that it will send large size email (1MB) with .dat attachment
