NCM Windows 2008 RTCD Problems?

I just took a look at the release notes for NCM 5.5.2 and saw a note indicating that RTCD will not work with Windows 2008.  Is that just for 5.5.2 or will it not work with Windows 2008 at all?

All of our Orion software is currently installed on Windows 2008 systems and changing that isn't an option and Windows 2008 is currently the supported version of Windows we are using for everything.

I am just now getting to configuring our NCM system and the RTCD capability is one of the reasons we purchased the software in the first place so I need to have access to that functionality.

I certainly hope that fully supporting Windows 2008 is in the plans very soon?

5.5.2 SP1 is being released to Support today; it fixes all the Server 2008 issues.

One caveat about running RTCD on Server 2008 is that you need to set Administrator permissions for both Syslog Server and Trap Server. This KB article explains how to do so: http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1399
