Gotta be a feature, just can't find it...
Under the Clients area, you can lookup a specific user and set a color. You can also set a color for a request type or tech group.
Since you can associate colours with locations, if the users are part of that location, you will see the colour in the list of tickets.
We do this as well. Normal users have no color and important users are red.
