Closed by: Tech name?

Hi All

I'm trying to put together a report or a query for tech metrics over a time period. Does anyone know how I can extract data on closed tickets by tech? The only place I can see any reference to who closed a ticket is in the history window where the status is changed to closed.

Hi Rick,

I use the report function. Under the row category select assigned tech. Add a report filter for the status values you consider closed. We have Closed and Installed. There are two selections for row category related to techs. Orginal Tech and Assigned Tech. If the ticket is closed, then the Assigned Tech was the last one on that ticket.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go but I have a recollection that the assigned tech doesnt always match with the person that changed the status to closed.

Did you ever get a solution that allows you to report on who changed the status to closed?

I have a Tech account which is used as a queue for particular category tickets where they never leave the queue but get worked by the first available Tech, who then closes them and leaves them in the same queue, so they are never assigned to the tech that worked them.

Can you report on who changes the status to closed?
