Orion Website Error

There was an error communicating with the Orion server.

Additional Information

No DNS entries exist for host poll.

Troubleshooting Steps

Confirm that the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine service is running, as shown in the following steps:
1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Services.
2. Right-click SolarWinds Orion Module Engine, and then click Start.
If the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine service is already running, contact SolarWinds Support.
Refresh the Orion Web Console browser.
If the Orion Web Console does not display, contact SolarWinds Support

Tried solving this using the troubleshooting steps but same problem still occurs.

Anyone who experienced this?

Hi,

On which page/view do you get this error? Which resources are supposed to be displayed in the view?

If you run a report on the Nodes and check the DNS field of the Nodes table, are they all resolved?

Yann hi,

It appears when user tries to check on the node details or interfaces details. Actually when you try to click on a link, this appears everytime. Previously this was working ok and we don't see any issue at all. However when after installing the voip module on the orion server, this was seen many times.

We tried to re-run the configuration wizard but there are errors seen after running it. We raised a case thru solarwinds and the engr repaired the installation and re-run the configuration wizard. It will then be restored again. However, after few access again on the web, these errors appear again. When we asked the tech support assigned to our case, he informed us to just repair the installation again and run the sp5 of v9.1. Our client is now bothered with this case and insisted that they cannot run repair everytime that error appears.

Same isue here, Applied Service pack 4 for orion 9.5 and now orion module engine is bounding. opened a trouble ticket lets see what they do ?
