How to have SAM Component Monitor send email notifications?

Hi, I just started using SAM/LEM so I have supremely inexperienced at this point. I just created a SAM Component monitor that appears to be working, but I want it to send an email notification whenever it detects one of the events it looks for - is this possible and how? Thanks for any assistance.

In most cases the following default pre-configured out-of-the-box alerts should suit most scenarios. At most you may need to configure the email send to address and SMTP server settings for those alert actions.

Alert me when a component goes down
Alert me when a component goes into warning or critical state

You need to go into the alert Manager. From here you can view Component Monitor Templates and even some templates shared in THWACK. Select the template you are looking to add to a Node and it will bring you into the configuration of teh Alert. you can set up the thresholds here and assign the "Trigger Actions" which is where you will find the "action" for sending a email/page.

Add Action:

Select Send Email/Page

Forgot to mention, from here you can also adjust scheduling for when emails are sent as well.
