Spinning up a Solarwinds install is not something that is simply done and left to operate. Any sysadmin who wants their solarwinds install to see actual use knows that there is a lot of maintenance in a variety of forms that must be done in order to ensure a lot of things happen.
Examples:
Making sure the application is actually up and running - naturally things like Orion MVP Maintenance Procedures come to mind.
Making sure the application is actually providing useful data
Making sure people are actually using your Solarwinds install and know what Solarwinds is
Encouraging people to find value in the modules you have
Showing people what can be done with the reports, alerts, etc.
So what do you do to ensure that your Solarwinds install doesn't remain a problem child that is ignored in the corner? I'm not saying mine is anything like that, but I'm curious to have the community provide some ideas/thoughts. Maybe it'd be worth putting together a document on.
