"too busy to process the request"

Hi guys,

NPM 10.2.2

I've just seen this error:

Server 'net.tcp://localhost:17777/SolarWinds/InformationService/Orion/ssl' sent back a fault indicating it is too busy to process the request. Please retry later. Please see the inner exception for fault details.

Can't find anything relating to the "too busy" issue. Any ideas?

Hi Deltona, there quite a lot of reasons for getting this message.

Actually one of them is Information service is really too busy, i.e. it just can't handle requests because there are too many of them.

Although sometimes it's not the case.

Does this happen often? Can you connect to web site in a while or it stays down forever?

As a workaround i can suggest restarting SolarWinds Information Service and NetPerfMon web application.

Also before opening a support ticket i suggest you trying upgrade to NPM 10.3 Release. It has been released today so probably you have to wait a bit before it appears on the customer portal.
