SAM uses a wide variety of industry standard agentless protocols for monitoring. If you have any questions regarding a specific monitor type or protocol I'd be happy to answer them for you. If you haven't yet tried Server & Application Monitor (SAM), I recommend downloading it and giving it a try. It's free for 30 days. If you already have SAM up and running, you'll likely find answers to many of your questions in the Administrators Guide.
