Is it possible use the Serial PO asset field with Import POs tool?

When we receive our vendor POs they populate a field of our computer serial number. I would like to use this information and sync the data to the "asset details" field "Serial No. Maybe solarwinds could make this possible in a future release or if someone in the community know of another way to achieve this your help would be appreacuted.
