database or views question

Question

Can I add another asset database? Or maybe I can solve my problem with groups, I'm not sure.

We have a Windows and a Unix group. These groups each support 500 machines. I 
would like the Windows group to only be able to see the 500 machines they support when they log in. Same with Unix.

Is that possible?

Hi Rick,

Yes, that is what we are trying. So far it seems to work separating them by location. It a bit clunky but I think it will work. Need to play with it a little more

I have not tried this, but thought is either the location or department assigned to the asset could be used to filter what each Tech can see?
