¿External process????

How to configure an external process to execute a. Vbs? I am currently trying to execute "calc.exe" (to start) and I always answer the test: "Action Error: Access rights are insufficient. The test failed." and I'm sure I run it with maximum privileges.
Any ideas?

Thank you very much, the problem was not executed cscript.exe from Windows \ System32. Now I just works.

Good day JCSR,

Calc.exe is not a good executable to use because it does not self terminate itself. As a result, the Monitor will eventually fail with a timeout (assuming the Monitor is configured correctly).

Rather than helping you configure the Monitor to run calc.exe, I will help you configure the Monitor to run your vbs script. Here's what you typically want to insert as values:

Executable Name: cscript.exe
Directory: c:\winnt\system32\
Command Line Parameters: [name_of_vbs_file] [parameter1] [parameter2]
Startup Directory: [path_to_vbs_file]

Compare the Process Return Value = SELECTED
Expected Return Value: [Expected_errorlevel_value_returned]

By the way, make sure to replace "c:\winnt\system32\" with actual location of your Windows' \System32\ directory, such as c:\windows\system32\.

Resurrecting an old thread here, but I am attempting to accomplish process monitoring using the sample script provided by SolarWinds. I can't get anything but a "return value does not match expected value" from ipMonitor, even though running the script directly from the ipMonitor server via command line returns success. What could be going wrong? I'm using a domain admin account to execute the script.
