Cannot Upload Templates into SAM

All,

First and foremost, I will admit that I am a complete noob when it comes to anything and everything SolarWinds. I have recently been given the benefit of working with a lot of applications and equipment that quite frankly are above and beyond anything I have ever worked on before and as mentioned, SolarWinds (and everything contained therein) is no exception. So I want to apologize in advance for questions that may seem to be elementary to most (if not all) of you.

Recently, I found a template on Thwack that would allow me to monitor disk space in a very granular way. (See link here: Universal Disk Free Space Monitoring (One Template Will Handle All Logical Disks + Exceptions And Overrides)

I am very interested in implementing this but I wasn't sure how. So I began looking through the forums to learn how to simply upload templates (still not knowing what I will do with or how to use this template once it is uploaded - that's a different problem altogether). But for now, I have read how to import templates into SAM but I get an error when doing so. I have pasted the contents of the error below and I am wondering if anyone has any insight or if there is anyway you can help. Thank you in advance ....

Is this error happening on all template imports?

Would also create a support case

Download the application template file to your desktop.
Open the Orion web console and navigate to [Settings -> SAM Settings -> Manage Application Monitor Templates]
Click [Import/Export] from the top menu and select [Import]

4. Browse to the file you saved in step #1 and click "Submit"

If that doesn't work, I would suggest double checking your version of SAM. I tested this myself without issue importing the template you referenced above on SAM 6.2.3.

@mbussey: Yes, it happens on all template imports. To make matters worse, I am getting the same error (so it appears) when I make changes to the default alerts or user created/defined alerts. All seems to work until I save. I need to open a case with support.

@aLteReGo: Thank you for responding. That is actually exactly what I tried before I found this issue. As you can see above, I think I need to open a case with support. I truly appreciate the reply though.
