I have an issue where I have several routers that are on a non accessible network for SNMP write access so the IPSLA operations need to be created on them manually. The operations themselves work fine but I am having an issue with manually discovering them properly in IPSLA.
The router at the other end of these connections has two vrf's one accessing our enterprise network and one the extranet that these manually configured routers are on. When you add an operation automatically you are given the choice of selecting which vrf to use and the source address of the operation. And after the automatically created operations are created and operational you can even go in and edit the source and destination IP's and vrf name used for the operation if you need to.
When you go out and manually discover the operations and add them to IPSLA it uses the routers Orion management IP for the source and ignores the IP and vrf info that is manually configured on the router for the paticular operation. In addition when you try to go fix this by editing the operation after it is created the fields for source and destination IP and vrf are greyed out and will not allow changes.
Am I doing something wrong or does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
