VNQM is pretty useful in determining the performance metrics between 2 sites. However, it seems that the representation and calculations of 2 key metrics RTT & Latency for IP SLA Operations may be incorrect. There is a pretty good article that provides how VNQM calculates the RTT & Latency. Latency in SolarWinds VNQM From…
Hello, I am relatively new to the VoIP & Network Quality (VNQM) module. We have some IPSLA settings already defined on some switches. if a devices is licensed, and I only have Read permission SNMP strings defined, should I be able to see the operation in the module or is the module only able to display and track the…
Hello! I just want to understand why I cannot see the node in IP SLA. Device is "Cisco 4431 ISR" using SNMPv2 string but it was added in Monitoring and it can be search via Manage Nodes. Please advise what would be the next step. Should I ask to change the SNMP from V2 to V3?
Many of you have some type of Voice Over IP (VoIP) deployment, which begs the need to monitor your VoIP sites, Call Managers, and other information that helps you manage your VoIP network. The old Orion VoIP module provided these features, and Orion IP SLA Manager still does today. As I mentioned in a previous post, we…

We've already received a great deal of participation and feedback for the APM release candidate (or RC as we like to call it…
Hello all, I am new to Network Atlas. I have created an IP SLA icmp echo mesh with 4 routers, each with two SLA monitors. I would like to put the RTT (Round Trip Time) somewhere attached to the line between the routers. I would love it even more if I could change the color of the line based on a sliding scale of RTT. I…
Currently on the Shoretel Gear we can see the Node Status , CPU and Memory Via SNMP . We are also using the Application monitoring for shoretel Servers which only gives us the critical service status. I would really like to see more detailed information like Packet Loss , Call Quality , Jitter etc.. like the IP SLA on…
Current VNQM can put all the IP SLA Monitor displayed in the same grouping, custom attributes can not be grouped, such as grouped by region, so that if there are thousands of IP SLA monitor when you can score very clear
With Microsoft getting into the IP Telephony/Video/Collaboration space pretty heavy, it would be nice to see support for Lync 2010 or any of the OCS products. We are in pilot testing the Lync product now so any insight into the effects on the network would be very beneficial to us.
