I am working on utilizing our Solarwinds instance to automate some of our compliance work. I am trying to schedule a monthly report that saves to our DFS file share. After testing and troubleshooting under ticket 00266480 with Solarwinds it seems it is a requirement to have the user a domain admin to save this file. If someone has found a way to save a file to a share without being a domain admin I'd love to hear it! If not I feel this feature of saving to a share is useless to me as I'm not going to assign a service account domain admin for security reasons.
What I would love is to have a limited AD user have the ability to save a file to a share they have access to through the SolarWinds Orion reports interface. Specifically Reports > manage reports > schedule manager > create schedule > actions.
Thanks! I'm definitely curious as I'm sure this feature is used, maybe I'm missing something my Solarwinds tech and I weren't able to figure out.
Best,
Christopher
