Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not (if not, please point me in the right direction) but I'm wondering if anyone has an experience in aligning Orion monitoring with the concept of IT Services (in the ITIL sense, or CFSs in the SID model). I'm hoping to get to a point where we can create Service (with a capital 'S') groups in Orion which correspond to a particular set of servers, services (with a lower-case 's'), applications and infrastructure services. These could then be monitored as a group and would allow us to easily report on uptime and other key metrics. There would need to be a one-to-many mapping of underlying services (RFSs in the SID model) because one RFS could support many CFSs. Has anyone achieved this level of organisation within Orion? Or have they found other ways of doing this?
