Hi,
I have installed Kiwi Syslog on a Windows 2013 R2 environment and cant seem to get any logs from the Cisco 3825 router we have configured.
I have Wireshark running on the server (see attached image) and can see that the Cisco router is passing the correct information across. I have even used another free Syslog server and this also collects the data but I cant seem to get Kiwi Syslog working.
On the Cisco device I have ran the following commands;-
Router(config)# Logging on
Router(config)# service timestamps type datetime[msec] [localtime] [show-timezone]
Router(config)# Logging Facility Local7
Router(config)# Logging [IP Address or Hostname of machine running Kiwi Syslog Server]
Router(config)# logging trap level
As I mentioned the other free Syslog server software seem to be receiving the data fine.
I have syslog Version 9.4 and have gone through both links to the support suggestions but again, nothing seems to work.
