Wondering if it's possible to set an alert on asset levels? So if we have 5 laptops available in assets and it goes to 4 can we set up an alert for that?
I do not see anything that looks like it is immediately configurable inside of WHD that would do this function from an alerting perspective. It appears the alerting that could work only covers parts and not assets. This would be something that could be put in as a feature request.
In the meantime, potentially creating a job in the DB or creating a script on the WHD server that would perform a check querying against the DB and then sending an email(potentially into the WHD as a ticket) if the result of the query were lower than the asset inventory level you were looking for may be a solution that could work.
For non-alert related option that can at least be scheduled, setting up an asset report that is sent out regularly could at least keep interested parties aware of the asset availability status if they have the time to review the reports.

Just some more info. In Assets we have Asset Type = Laptop and Status = Available.
Can we alert off of changes to that is what I'm asking I guess.
