Since April, SolarWinds teams have delivered a steady stream of product enhancements, security updates, performance improvements, and customer-requested capabilities across the portfolio.
The common thread is practical: helping you reduce noise, investigate issues faster, strengthen security, and manage more of your environment from the tools you already use. From new AI-assisted experiences and richer observability to more flexible service workflows and continued reliability investments, these updates are designed to help teams move from visibility to action with less friction.
This post highlights selected work completed recently and shares a look at what’s coming next. It is not a complete list of every product update, and roadmap items may change in scope, timing, or availability.
Observability: More context, less noise, faster action
Observability Self-Hosted
SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted 2026.2 is now generally available, bringing new ways to understand network, cloud, and infrastructure health in context. The release includes enhancements to SW1, the SolarWinds AI Agent, as well as the new Routing Summary and Cloud Cost dashboards.
The Routing Summary dashboard gives teams a network-wide view of routing health, including control-plane stability, protocol churn, unstable prefixes and nodes, and VRF or tenant impact. The Cloud Cost dashboard brings spending visibility into the observability workflow, with views across AWS, Azure, and GCP and filters that help teams isolate cost drivers.
The release also introduces Discovery Central, a refreshed starting point for seeing what is already monitored and finding the next environment or capability to onboard. Alert suppression helps reduce secondary alerts when a parent node is down, while engine load balancing helps redistribute eligible nodes across healthy polling engines in a high-availability pool. Expanded cloud, module, platform, agent, container, storage, and device support round out the release.

Looking ahead, we’re extending SW1 with root-cause, query, and configuration skills, along with role-based access. We’re also working on routing-insight dashboards, smarter alert suppression, streamlined discovery and navigation, expanded risk analysis, TLS 1.3, engine load balancing, and high-availability agent pools.
Observability SaaS
Observability SaaS customers can now try the SW1 AI assistant as a technical preview. The goal is to make it easier to ask questions in plain language instead of building queries from scratch.
We also added API Monitoring for Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office 365, and expanded LLM monitoring across AWS Bedrock and Azure AI to include metrics such as prompts, token usage, and latency. Custom Maps provide more flexibility for building topology views, while log flood detection, rate limiting, and one-click log export help speed up troubleshooting when event volume spikes.
Coverage is also expanding into IoT and OT environments with MQTT and OPC UA support. Next, we’re focused on easier administration and broader cloud coverage, including role-based access controls, a portfolio-wide notification center, bulk tag management, eBPF support, GCP flow monitoring, AWS cost observability, and user-defined OpenTelemetry configuration for Kubernetes.
Future areas of investment include select vector databases, Google Vertex AI monitoring, agentic AI across the SolarWinds Platform, a lightweight NICO collector, deeper LLM observability, and AI-assisted security insight.
Database performance: Deeper visibility and smarter assistance
Database Performance Analyzer
Database Performance Analyzer 2026.2 adds monitoring support for SAP HANA, bringing wait-time analysis and performance insights to SAP HANA Platform, Express, and Cloud environments. The release includes wait-time trends, multidimensional drilldowns, anomaly detection, blocking chains, resource metrics, and real-time session monitoring.
DPA also expands AI Query Assist to MySQL and PostgreSQL, helping teams explore query rewrite recommendations in more database environments. New alert lifecycle keys make it easier for integrations such as PagerDuty and ServiceNow to distinguish each occurrence of an alert instead of reopening a ticket from an earlier lifecycle.
PostgreSQL alerting has been improved with more flexible scope configuration and direct query execution within each database. DPA 2026.2 also introduces deployment in a Docker container as a public beta, using a hardened, minimal base image for a more portable deployment experience.

Next, we’re extending SAP HANA coverage, working toward general availability for the Docker deployment option, and improving installation and upgrade discovery. AI Query Assist v2 is also planned to incorporate query plans and schema context, while SW1 support for self-hosted databases is on the roadmap.
SQL Sentry
SQL Sentry 2026.2 adds Running Queries to the web portal, giving teams real-time visibility into queries executing against SQL Server targets and access to additional details, including prior execution history.
The release also adds Availability Group data-loss metrics at the availability database level, with rollups at the Availability Group and instance levels. For AI Query Assist, customers can now provide thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback, add optional comments, and control whether the feature is enabled for specific targets.

Looking forward, SQL Sentry work includes Linux OS metrics, an Event Calendar in the Portal, and richer telemetry.
Security Event Manager: More proactive detection and stronger foundations
Security Event Manager 2026.2 is generally available and continues SolarWinds’ focus on strengthening security across the logging portfolio. The release introduces AI-powered Anomaly Detection through Platform Connect as a technical preview, using cloud-based machine-learning baselines to help surface unusual activity.
The new Anomalous Events workflow helps teams investigate suspicious patterns in the SEM console with event-volume timelines and anomaly markers. The release also strengthens password and authentication controls, adds concurrent session limiting, requires default CMC password changes at first startup, and includes third-party license transparency.
Nutanix validation, faster partition archival and unarchival, increased agent heap capacity, current JDK and operating-system updates, performance improvements, and security fixes round out the release.

We’re continuing to develop additional anomaly-detection use cases, including scenarios such as password spraying, port scanning, and ransomware or file-integrity monitoring. These capabilities will be delivered as they are ready, while authentication and session security remain ongoing priorities.
Service Desk: Better workflows from request to resolution
Between April and July, SolarWinds Service Desk received a broad set of improvements across workflow management, service-level tracking, AI assistance, asset visibility, integrations, and security.
Task Management V2 introduces a dedicated workspace and centralized index for structured, multi-step work, with clearer lifecycle management, task-specific comments, time tracking, custom fields, and related-record visibility. Graphical workflow visualization makes complex runbooks and service catalog logic easier to understand, while the AI Tone Enhancer helps agents turn shorthand notes into clearer, more professional, or more empathetic responses.
Service Desk also added an All Assets index for viewing and searching across asset types, along with stronger SLA capabilities. Advanced scope logic, SLA timer configuration, policy re-application, and recurring SLA policies help teams model more realistic service commitments and track repeated breaches or cycles.
Additional improvements include granular controls for reopening incidents, section separators and longer field labels for forms, built-in DocuSign integration, Slack Process Integration, personalized notifications across Teams and Slack, credential and data masking, and support for multi-file attachments.

Next, we’re focused on making it easier for users to get help, for teams to manage work, and for leaders to understand service performance. Planned areas include AI-assisted request intake, classification, and routing; a Requester Agent; deeper SolarWinds portfolio integrations; workflow automation; Project Management; modern reporting and analytics; and more guided setup and adoption.
Loggly and Pingdom: Modernization, performance, and resilience
Loggly’s next phase is focused on making everyday log analysis faster and more intuitive. Planned work includes incremental AngularJS-to-React/Nighthawk UI modernization, parity testing, quick filters, search within results, and refine-in-place improvements. The goal is to address common usability frustrations while preserving customer choice and avoiding a disruptive redesign.
Between May and July, Pingdom focused on synthetic-monitoring reliability, customer defect resolution, security remediation, UI and API performance investigation, infrastructure hardening, automated testing, and supply-chain security. The team also resolved the high-priority Vestis Real User Monitoring time-range issue and continued improving API and data-path performance.
Looking ahead, Pingdom’s roadmap prioritizes targeted UI modernization, UI and API performance improvements, reliability, and security. These investments are intended to modernize the experience while preserving the flexibility customers rely on and strengthening long-term platform resilience.
