Since April 2026, teams across SolarWinds have delivered multiple enhancements, security updates, and customer-requested improvements in the products you use daily. The examples below highlight a selection of recent investments across our portfolio and do not represent a complete list of all product updates.
What we've done:
- SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted: Version 2026.2 GA added SW1 enhancements, Routing Summary and Cloud Cost dashboards, Discovery Central, alert suppression, engine load balancing, and expanded cloud and module support.

- SolarWinds Observability SaaS: We opened our SW1 AI assistant to all SolarWinds Observability SaaS customers as a tech preview, so you can start asking questions in plain language instead of building queries. We added API Monitoring for Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office 365. We extended LLM monitoring on AWS Bedrock and Azure AI support to include metrics prompt, token usage, and latency. We also gave you Custom Maps to build topology your own way, added log flood detection with rate limiting and one-click log export to make troubleshooting faster, and extended coverage into IoT/OT with MQTT and OPC UA support.
- Database Performance Analyzer (DPA): DPA 2026.2 introduced monitoring for SAP HANA, expanded AI Query Assist to MySQL and PostgreSQL, added alert lifecycle keys for integrations such as PagerDuty and ServiceNow, improved PostgreSQL alert configuration, and offered Docker deployment as a public beta—helping teams extend database visibility and accelerate troubleshooting.

- SQL Sentry: SQL Sentry 2026.2 added Running Queries in the web portal, Availability Group data-loss metrics, and feedback and target-level controls for AI Query Assist.

- Security Event Manager (SEM): Released 2026.2 GA and continued to strengthen security across our logging portfolio, addressing more than 100 security issues this year. SEM 2026.2 also introduced AI-powered Anomaly Detection through Platform Connect as a technical preview, an Anomalous Events workflow, stronger authentication and session controls, Nutanix validation, performance improvements, and security updates.

- Service Desk: Between April and July, we rolled out a wide range of enhancements across the platform, with several available in labs for early access. Task Management V2 brings improved workflow controls, while graphical workflow visualization makes it easier to understand process flow. The AI Tone Enhancer saves time and increases response clarity, and the new All Assets index provides a single place for managing different asset types. We also strengthened SLA capabilities with advanced logic, timer configuration, policy re-application, and recurring SLA policies, and improved approval compliance with granular incident reopen controls. Form handling is better with section separators and proper display of long field labels, and integration and notification options expanded with DocuSign integration, Slack Process integration, and personalized notifications across Teams and Slack channels. Rounding out the release, we added credential and data masking for enhanced security, plus support for multi-file attachments.

- Pingdom: Between May and July 2026, Pingdom focused on synthetic-monitoring reliability, customer defect resolution, security remediation, UI/API performance investigation, and infrastructure hardening. The team also resolved the high-priority Vestis RUM time-range issue, improved API and data-path performance, expanded automated testing, and continued supply-chain security work.
What's next:
- Observability Self-Hosted: We're extending our SW1 AI assistant with root-cause, query, and configuration skills and role-based access; adding routing-insight dashboards and smarter alert suppression to reduce alert fatigue; streamlining network discovery and navigation; and strengthening security with expanded risk analysis and TLS 1.3 — alongside performance and scale improvements like engine load balancing and high-availability agent pools.
- Observability SaaS: We're focused on making the platform easier to administer and richer across cloud: role-based access controls, a portfolio-wide notification center, and bulk tag management to simplify access, alerting, and reporting; broader AWS, Azure, and GCP coverage with eBPF support, GCP flow monitoring, and AWS cost observability; and Kubernetes observability with user-defined OpenTelemetry configuration. Database Observability will add support for select vector databases and we’re adding LLM monitoring support for Google Vertex AI. Looking further ahead, we're investing in agentic AI across the platform (SW1), a lightweight NICO collector, more in LLM observability, and AI-assisted security insight.
- Databases (DPA & SQL Sentry): We're extending monitoring of SAP HANA in DPA beyond this first release, promoting the new Docker deployment option from public beta to general availability, and improving install/upgrade discovery. We're advancing AI Query Assist to a v2, which factors in query plans and schema, and bringing our SW1 AI agent to self-hosted databases. For SQL Sentry, we're adding Linux OS metrics, an event calendar in the Portal, and richer telemetry.
- Security Event Manager (SEM): We'll deliver additional AI-powered anomaly-detection use cases — such as password spraying, port scanning, and ransomware/file-integrity monitoring — automatically and out-of-band as they're ready and continue strengthening authentication and session security.
- Service Desk: We’re making it easier for users to get help, for teams to manage work, and for leaders to understand service performance. We’re advancing AI-assisted request intake, classification, and routing—including a Requester Agent—alongside deeper SolarWinds portfolio integrations and workflow automation. We’re also progressing project management, modern reporting and analytics, and more guided setup and adoption, helping teams move from request to resolution with less manual effort and clearer visibility.
- Loggly: Our near-term focus is on stabilizing and improving the Loggly experience. Customers can expect continued reliability and security work, faster search, and more practical ways to narrow results, including quick filters and search within existing results. We are also moving Loggly MCP capabilities toward early access, providing core log search, basic filters, and pagination through a self-hosted option.
- Pingdom: The near-term Pingdom roadmap focuses on improvements customers can see in their monitoring workflows: modern Chromium-based synthetic transaction probes, with a customer-controlled option to opt in per check while legacy probes remain available during the rollout. We are also targeting better UI and public API performance, targeted UI improvements, and ongoing reliability and security work across alerting and probe operations.
