The C’CIN Team is requesting a deeper, native integration for ZTE and Raisecom equipment within SolarWinds, aiming to align their monitoring capabilities with comprehensive models like the Cisco Nexus Model.
Current Status:
Right now, SolarWinds only monitors basic traffic statistics (Node and Interface Traffic) for these two vendors. This leaves a significant gap in our operational visibility.
Target Requirements / What We Need:
We need native out-of-the-box support for the following capabilities:
User Device Tracker (UDT) Support: Full capability to track connected endpoints (mapping MAC addresses, IP addresses, and active ports) across ZTE and Raisecom switches/routers.
Core Performance Metrics: Native polling for overall health metrics, specifically CPU and Memory utilization tracking, without having to rely on custom UnDP (Universal Device Pollers).
Business Value:
As our infrastructure relies heavily on these vendors alongside Cisco, having unified monitoring capabilities is critical. Native support will eliminate blind spots in endpoint tracking, simplify health monitoring, and ensure standard multi-vendor network management.
