Quick Filters broken on Group Assignment

For some reason the Group Assignment dropdown on the new Quick Filter menu is showing the Me option this should not show here nor does it do anything.

In SolarWinds HCO and similar platforms, "Me" is a dynamic macro used to filter by the current logged-in user ID. While essential for individual assignments, it makes no sense in a Group context because "Me" is not a defined user group.

Why this is happening

This usually occurs because the "Quick Filter" component is using a generic search/dropdown template that hasn't been properly filtered for the specific property it's pointing to.

• The "Assigned To" logic: Pulls from the Users table (where "Me" is injected as a convenience).
• The "Group Assignment" logic: Should strictly pull from UserGroups or a specific Custom Property list.

What you can do right now

Since this is likely a bug in the native "Quick Filter" code, there isn't a toggle in the UI to hide it, but here is how to handle it:

1. Check Custom Property Type: Go to Settings -> All Settings -> Manage Custom Properties. Ensure the property driving "Group Assignment" is set as a Drop-Down Menu and check if "Me" was accidentally added as a manual value in that list. If it's there, delete it.
2. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes the "Select Value" search results are cached from previous searches in different dropdowns. Hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) to see if it persists.
3. The "Custom Property" Workaround: If you are building your own dashboards (as we discussed earlier regarding the "Evidence Layer"), stick to using the Legacy Filter or a Custom SWQL Filter for your Group views. These allow you to explicitly define the WHERE clause to exclude specific values.

The "Evidence-Led" Fix

If you're reporting this to SolarWinds support or your internal dev team, you can frame it within your "Evidence → State" model:

• The Signal: Group Assignment dropdown contains Me.
• The Reality (State): The signal is stale/invalid because "Me" does not resolve to a Group Object.
• The Action: The UI team needs to apply a filter to the Quick Filter data provider to restrict results to AccountType = 'Group'.
