I've been busy trying to build reports. Sometimes I run into issue where when I duplicate something on the page and edit it… it changes a bunch of the other things on the page to be the same… doesn't seem like it should work that way. Also is there any way to report on the forecasting that Observability does? You know where it shows when it thiks you'll be either in WARNING, CRITICAL, or at CAPACITY?

I have lost total control over security. We are also live with a training model taking non-emergency calls… they have been taught how to transfer the call if they hit a trigger word like suicide or gun … you know.. training intent…. God Help Us All!

I hear you. There's a lot of negativity in the world right now, it's tough to stay positive. I use the escapism of computer games to keep me sane most of the time, but it's a very insular thing. Personally, I've never been busier, which is keeping my time in THWACK and Slack down to the minimum, but my drive to be here for the community is still there! I'm working a 9-5 client, and four days a week I'm working side gigs in the evenings/early mornings with clients in the US and elsewhere, to try to keep my business afloat. It's a difficult time. People who know me well know I'm a perpetually positive force, always the first to have a joke and raise peoples moods, but even I have been dulled a little by the past for years, and the unbridled push by technologists to put AI "everywhere". Despite the destruction of jobs and lives it is causing… One thing we had some time ago, unofficially, was a scheduled call open to all MVPs, arranged by MVPs. No SWI involvement. It was initially a podcast ('til SWI stole our idea and came up with OrangeMatter themselves :P) but really it was just a time for us all to get together and have a chat about whatever, with a initial section focussing on SolarWinds. Perhaps we could resurrect it this, as a call initially rather than a podcast, to help keep us connected?

Something that I feel is missing is the monthly missions. Hopefully with the store back up and running they will be making a come back again soon?? Another thing that I feel could do with a tweak is the content exchange, I use to love going there seeing what new stuff people have come up with but, the layout of it now seems clunky and you can't tell what is new and what is old.

I have absolutely nothing to lose at this point! Half-heartedly looking for a new job, I love my job, but folks understood that it is not like what you see on TV. Could not agree with you more. The daily mission are the top priority for the dev team right now. I will start posting regular update on there return as they are super important to the community . As for the Content Exchange I hear you on that as well we have the design and dev looking at other display options for the KB sections as there is two options with in this tool. More to come on that shortly. Along with 2 new community staff members joining the team we are even more committed to making THWACK thrive into the future.

From what I have seen, this describes a lot of places, including mine. However, I really like my job and enjoy the people I work with. And to be completely honest, I get paid to play with expensive cool hardware and software!
@yellowtj you are absolutely right about the cool technologies. I do LOVE my job… I think the lack of respect is the biggest disappointment. The janitor struck a major chord with me today. People try to push me down because they are not able to get along with everyone like I do. Did I say a lot with those words… The Janitor! I do inspire others to do their best and I respect others for their contributions. The Director thinks I need my ego stroked. Anyone that knows me, knows I have no ego other than Freud's Id, Ego, and Superego. Just let us work together and stop spending money senselessly! Plan, organize, lead, direct, and control; the basic foundation when I went to school and it appears to be a very successful! Seems too easy!

@zennifer I hope to see you again at the World Tour in Austin later this year. Depending on the location, it's not a long drive for me. I'm about 40 miles NW of the SolarWinds HQ.
I did travel to the Houston one last year. My company is headquartered in Houston, so I was able to be seen in the office and attend the World Tour. If you have not been you need to go. It's a lot more intimate than a SWUG meeting so you can get some one-on-one time with the product managers and people that are actively working on the code.
Whilst I didn't like the old Thwack setup, I'm not fond of this new one really either. I'm not finding it very user friendly.
But like others I too have been using AI. I'm now creating views and widgets I never thought I could do. My dashboards are coming alive with information. Now I wish there was more icons we could use for views like this.
