Hi All,
Couldn't find anything searching and trying, so putting this out there if there might be answer please.
Currently we have BGP neighbors on a single Cisco router - on interface 1 and 2. We have alerting setup so that if a neighbor is down an alert is generated. This works fine, however in the generated alert am trying to include the interface e.g. BGP neighbor 1.10.###.### is down on Interface 1.
We don't have an instance of a BGP neighbor being down to test, however testing on a neighbor looking for it to be up isn't working. The interface is wrong, it instead displays other interfaces instead of the 1 or 2. A reason I'm thinking for this is perhaps SolarWinds NPM does not have a link between the BGP neighbor IP and the interface it is on perhaps, is this true?
Does anybody have this working and is it a field that can be sourced directly from the DB or would we need some SWQL/SQL code?
Many thanks in advance.
