Simple Report for Nodes includes 16 text file attachments

Hello,

Please excuse me if I have selected the wrong category, but I was unsure what to choose.

I have created a simple report to show the status of specific nodes, up or down. However, upon emailing this report my users tell me they can see 16 text file attachments. I don't actually see them in the Outlook desktop app, but if I check Office 365 webmail I can see them. How do I remove these attachments? They appear to be HTML, but I don't code so I'm not entirely sure.

Searching for this situation doesn't yield a lot of results. My supervisor does NOT want the report in a PDF attachment, he wants in in the body of the email. I did find this, but I don't see anywhere I can "render in the email body rather than attaching components."

"Report Configuration: Check the scheduled report action in the SolarWinds Platform. Ensure it is configured to send as a single file (like PDF) rather than HTML, or that it is designed to render in the email body rather than attaching components."

The 1st screenshot shows how I have the "Configure Action: Email" set. The emailed report shows exactly what I need (the report showing in the body of the email), except for the 16 attachments. The 2nd screenshot shows some of what's in one of the text attachments. There are MANY pages in each file.

This has been reported multiple times on THWACK. It’s essentially a feature request for SolarWinds to fully inline CSS/JS resources when generating HTML emails. You can up-vote the related idea if you find it. Try to search THWACK for “HTML report attachments” or “jQuery CSS”.

It might be a better option to open a support case with SolarWinds and reference the exact jQuery UI CSS content in the attachments. They’ve seen this before and may have a newer workaround or hotfix for your version.
