Summary:
Allow users to add Classic Dashboards within Modern Dashboards using the “Add Existing Dashboard” option under Configure Dashboard Tabs.
Current Behavior:
When configuring a Modern Dashboard and using the Add Existing Dashboard search functionality, only Modern Dashboards appear in the search results. Classic Dashboards are not visible or selectable.
Problem Statement:
This limitation prevents users from:
- Reusing existing Classic Dashboards within Modern Dashboard layouts
- Creating a unified dashboard experience during migration
- Gradually transitioning from Classic to Modern dashboards
- Some of dashboard option is only available in Classic Dashboard like World MAP
- Expected Behavior:
- The search box under Add Existing Dashboard should display both Modern and Classic Dashboards
- Users should be able to select and embed Classic Dashboards as tabs within a Modern Dashboard
- Optional: Clearly label dashboard type (Classic vs Modern) in search results
Business Impact:
- Reduces duplication effort when migrating dashboards
