Newer versions of macOS for WHD Server?

The longstanding system requirements (even the latest) still mention macOS 12.x (Montery) as the latest supported macOS, but that version went unsupported by Apple in September 2024, over a year ago.

However, I was heartened by the release notes for WHD 2026.1 where it says that NextGen WHD is "Not supported for Sonoma, Sequoia, Tahoe flavors due to Next.js 21 incompatibility." So does that mean that non-NextGen WHD does support Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe? Or does it mean that we have to wait for NextGen WHD to support those macOS versions to be able to move our WHD server to one of them?

I find the release notes not specific in details enough re the NextGen implementation re recent macOS compatibility. Is the reference to newer macOS versions incompatibility only applicable for running the application on a macOS 'server', or does it apply also to the use of macOS client browser connections to the web application irrespective of the OS of the server it is installed on?
Also, if NextGen is turned on, can it be rolled back if preferred after testing?
Does NextGen deliver a new UI for Techs, or is it only for Clients?

Hi PeterB,Yes you can go to legacy. NextGen is for Client UI only.We will be rolling out NextGen Tech UI is the next release.

@Avadhut.Deshpande, can you answer my original question about what versions of macOS are supported for 2026.1 (Legacy Interface)? If it doesn't yet support anything beyond 10.15 (Catalina), does the mention in the Release Notes of Sonoma/Sequoia/Tahoe mean that they will be supported in the next release when the NextGen UI rolls out? Thanks!
