SolarWinds Orion Teams Integration - How to merge workflow for UP/Down alerts into 1 message

Hello Everyone,

If there are any Teams experts out there, please help.

I have integrated SolarWinds alerts into Teams, everything works great! However, when the alert triggers a down, then comes back up, it becomes difficult to match or know the status at a glance.

Is there a way to insert the 'UP/reset' notifications into the same Down alert as a reply instead of 2 separate post?

Yes, you can add the Reset in reset action tab.

Hello, I do understand that there's a reset action.

In the event if I get 5 node down alerts but only 3 comes back up, which leaves 2 still down. It becomes hard to track which node came back online, in which case you would have to log into SW to find out.

Just trying to skip that step to see if there's some sort of automation with SolarWinds in Teams integration.

you would need to store an identifier for your alert message so you can reference the „up“ message to the „corresponding down“. As you can not access the response of the POST in your alert action properly I doubt that what you are asking for is possible in the GUI, yet it may not be possible at all…

I don't think this is feasible at the moment. Microsoft teams work per chat/post basis. Editing existing post needs to have an identifier as @HerrDoktor mentioned.
