What We’re Working On
- Target-based Licensing, allowing you to explicitly choose which targets are licensed. This will enable the AI Query Assist feature to be used in SQL Sentry installs that have a combination of DBSH and legacy licenses.
- AI “copilot” for an assistive experience, allowing users to ask natural language questions to find, interpret and resolve performance issues.
- Username/password authentication, allowing guest users and users in untrusted domains to use SQL Sentry.
- Running Queries option to show idle sessions, allowing any user session to be killed. This supports idle root blocker use cases, which users may want to kill.
- Improved formatting for SQL Sentry alerts.
- Portal timeout for idle web sessions.
- Smooth chart refresh in Portal, where charts update without a full web page refresh.
- Microsoft Entra Service Principal & Managed Identity authentication.
- Expose Linux OS metrics for SQL Server running on Linux.
- Continue to improve AI Query Assist outputs by adding inputs to the prompt, such as existing indexes, table size and column cardinality.
- Alerts notifications (via Platform Connect) to SolarWinds' products: SquadCast and Service Desk
- Portal enhancements, including features that currently live only in the desktop client, such as:
- Calendar
- Distributed AGs
- Portal Config Utility
- Settings
- etc.
