As we continue to enhance SolarWinds Patch Manager, our team is dedicated to delivering robust and innovative features, while continuing to improve user experience, enabling new workflows & enhancing third party application package support.
With the general availability of the 2024.2 release, we’ve introduced UI changes to buttons, enhanced user interaction in the reports section, and improved error stack messages for update management tasks.

Here’s a glimpse into our upcoming developments!
Retry button: Option to retry during 3rd party application package download failures
Schedule Approval: Ready to use button on the action pane to schedule approval for updates to enable workflows similar to schedule decline and schedule delete on the actions pane
Clear Inventory: Ability to clear managed computers to remove stale computers from your inventory during an inventory task
Reports: Graphical visualizations enabled reports with special focus on compliance
Edit tasks: Ability to edit an update management task instead of having to cancel an existing task and create a new task
Email notification on Task Initiation: Similar to the email notification for task completion, users can now trigger email notifications during task initiation.
