What's New in SolarWinds Patch Manager 2024.2?

We are excited to announce the latest enhancements in SolarWinds Patch Manager 2024.2, designed to improve user experience and functionality. Version 2024.2 is now available on your customer portal and solarwinds.com. 

Here’s a look at the key updates:

1. Enhanced GUI Buttons

All GUI buttons have been redesigned for better visibility and usability, making them more clickable and distinctly recognizable as buttons. This change aims to streamline navigation and improve overall user interaction with the interface.

2. Streamlined Reporting Interface

In the Reporting section, particularly within folders like Windows Server Update Services Analytics, we've simplified the middle section of the console. The bottom two panes, which were often found to be loaded and overwhelming, have been removed. Users can now focus solely on interacting with the actual reports without the distraction of unnecessary data sources lists.

3. Improved Error Messaging

We've introduced clearer and more informative error messages within the Update Management and Update Management Wizard (Download and Install Packages). These enhancements are designed to help users quickly understand and resolve issues, ensuring a smoother update management process.
