NPM Alerting ability to set max number of times alert has been emailed.

We are previous users of Intermapper. They had one real nice feature that you set a maximum number of time you would be alerted for a problem. As an example we would use send an alert every hour for a max of 3 times. Then the alert would still be there but you would not get emails every hour after that point. This is useful to still know what is going on over the weekend for something that you might not need to fix right away but know what to look at for Monday.

I like this idea, it's something that can be done with some thought, based on the number of events/ alerts then generate a problem alert. The problem alert is actually  very effective for reducing the noise of noisy alerts or to identify reoccurring alerts..

The problem alert logic is actually completely different from the incident alert itself, the problem alert will only check for the reoccurrence of the incident/alert

Take a look at the events and in the alerts trigger write a NPM_log and search for
