To be able to accommodate customers from all across the globe (and the app, specifically), it would be great if it could handle UTF-8 as default encoding instead of ISO-8859-1/15 (Win-1252).
The reason I'm opening this request, is because, at least here in Sweden, we use a lot of umlauts, and sure.. the web app performs wonderfully with everything we push into it, but it's the desktop client that doesn't handle it all too well.
As an example, I have a coworker named Björn, but his name ended up being Björn</, which also ends up destroying the first word in the chat, making it harder to figure out what they want during a support request/chat.
And the same thing happens to my name, which people find funny, because they're often very immature (as am I, but hey.. who's counting).
So, my last name is Gårdenberg, but with the encoding conversion, it becomes GÃ¥rdenberg, if you see what I mean by immature?
And as a developer, I understand that this isn't something that you can just change, but it would be great, if a fix could be implemented.
Heck, I'd even be up for fixing it myself, as I love tinkering with things like these. But my guess is that it isn't probably in a language I'm too familiar with.. or is it?
Jokes aside, great product, it will help us to handle local office support in a more efficient and logged way!
