Hi
Sometimes we have some devices that are connected to the network via satellite connections or ADSL, meaning that the connection is not the most reliable one. In order to avoid being bombarded with Node is Down alerts and to avoid saying devices in red on the web interface, I always recommend to modify the default Node Warning Level from 120 seconds to 300 seconds (as an example).
However if in that same SolarWinds instance, we are also monitoring core devices, waiting 300 seconds before changing the status from warning to down might be a problem. I know we can create an alert for those core devices based on packet loss instead of status, but it would be really nice I we could define the Node Warning Level per device, not like now that is a global setting.
