Add support for in NPM for RFS6000 Wireless Lan Controllers and AP7131 Access Points. These devices are currently only polled with generic MIBs and do not show up under Wireless Summary in NPM.
We are indeed working on Motorola support: What are we working on after NPM 10.6
SNMP walks of any devices you would like us to test would be most appreciated: rob.hock{at}solarwinds.com
I'll work on getting this out to you by end of the week.
Still seems not be implemented even after 10.7 I am having same issues with RFS7000 and can provide SNMP walks if required. For both 71 and 81 series access points.
Any news on this? We have a large project that will require a lot of these AP's to be monitored. I see its a year since rob posted about working on Motorola support, are we any further with this?
I've added the Motorola controller, that seems ok, but cant see any attached AP's at all.
Any news or action on this? We have two RFS6000 and several AP300 and AP650's we'd really like to be able to monitor properly.
Hi Guys, we run around ten RFS-6000 & 7000 devices with around two hundred AP6521 wireless access points and not having wireless client information via WAP hinders our ability to effectively monitor the RF network for our warehouse locations.
We have just recently solved this by using the community created poller for Moto/Symbol kit. The NPM components seem to work well but you won’t get heat maps or the UDT wireless pieces if you use that product.
I'm also seeing this issue in my own environment, with NPM 11.5.2.
Client information is not showing, all APs are showing as having zero clients in the dashboard.
I'm running NPM 11.5.2 and my NPM also can see the RFS AP's but not the wireless clients. I've got over 20 sites with dual RFS units with the same situation. I have a Cisco 5508 that upon adding it to NPM was able to show all the wireless clients as well as heatmaps. I would love for the Motorola RFS issue to be resolved.
