We have many remote sites that need to be monitored. Each of these sites have custom properties that apply to every node at that site. These custom properties include site contact email, address, city, state, country, zip code, region, tier, company, division, and time zone. It would be amazing if there were container objects that had these properties and the nodes, groups, interfaces, and other container objects in the container object would inheirit those custom properties. That way adding nodes would require less manual work and would be less likely to result in errors. Additionally, you could then alert when the container object went down, and use its custom properties to specify who should be alerted via email if it is different and create custom messages based off of the custom properties. Currently this cannot be accomplished with groups. Finally, it could aid in setting up dependencies.
