My IT staff has been wrestling with how to track planned maintenance vs. unplanned outages for our availability reporting. I'd love to see a feature to either:
1.) Allow us to respond to alerts to specify that they are part of a planned maintenance. This would be best if we had the ability to respond from a mobile device...
-or-
2.) Allow us to schedule a maintenance window and select objects (nodes/applications/websites etc...) that will be worked on during that window so that alerts are not triggered for them during the specified times (bonus points if we can have an option to extend the window "in flight" in case the maintenance goes sideways.)
(Super extra bonus points if you can do both)
Beyond that, I'd also love to see a planned outage report that's driven by one of these options so that we can see all outages for a node and determine how much time the system was down for maintenance vs. down for an actual problem.
