In the current version of the SAM module, each application monitor has a single polling frequency and timeout which is inherited by all component monitors within the template.
A welcomed change would be the ability to modify this polling frequency per-component. For example, checking if a service is running maybe needed each interval but whether a file exists only once an hour.
