We have multiple Trunks and gateways at our main location which currently consists of 2 PRI’s which gives us 23 x 2 Channels (46).
I do not have the ability in SolarWinds VNQM to view or alert on these lines as one pool of available trunks. One or the other are often at 100% capacity which is normal and no cause for alarm, but if the combined utilization nears 100% I need to be able to alert on it and there should be a combined utilization chart as well to let us know the utilization at a glance.
This should also allow us to add any trunks including fractional to one view / alert. For example if I add a 10 port PRI and/or 20 SIP lines to our existing service I should be able to include those as well at their actual capacity (not just 23 lines for the fractional PRI because 23 is the most common value).
To this object I assign:
PRI #1 Channels 1-23
PRI #2 Channels 1-23
PRI #3 Channels 1-10 (Because it is fractional)
SIP #1 Channels 1-20
In this scenario I have 76 lines, so it should show the utilization Percentage and/or count based on the total available lines. This would also help me assess the impact of one the trunks went down as they would show unavailable in the pool.
Currently I would have to search for each trunk to check its utilization individually and alerting on the individual trunks is useless.
