In its' current form we can use JSON to determine web services availability (up/down), response time, and validation of the content that is returned by the query. We cannot, at this time, log that content as a metric.
We would like to use JMX over REST JSON to log memory and other JMX metrics from containers using Amazon Elastic Beanstalk where we don't traditional access to the node.
