As per the SolarWinds documentation, we can download the MIB database for an Offline environment:
Install the MIB database on Orion Platform 2020.2 and later (offline environment)
If your Orion Platform 2020.2 or later is in an offline environment, download the MSI version of the MIBs database and transfer the file to your scalability engines.
Run the MSI on all deployed polling engines - on the main polling engine server, HA backup server, and any additional polling engines.
When finished, you can check the MIBs database version in the MIBs Management view of the Orion Web Console.
I would like to have the installer to check all servers and distribute the database from a single source. I currently have to log, copy over and execute the MSI file on all Orion servers, which could be automated in that single MSI installer.
Also:
- The page located at https://ORION_SERVER.FQDN/apps/mibs-management/mibs-management provides MIB version only for the active Main Poller. It would be a good thing to have all servers checked for MIB database version, to ensure they are all the same.
- Database version check should also be added to Orion Deployment Health checks
- Customer Portal does not state what version the MIB database is... you have to download and check yourself when your Orion server is not connected to internet. Please add that simple metadata to the portal!
