There needs to be a vacation expiry field so that the Web Help Desk Admin can set the ending vacation date of the tech. Thus there will be no need to go back in to click the "On Vacation" checkbox again when vacation is finished.
I think we could take this one step further by creating a vacation section within the help desk, allowing you to specify vacation time on a calendar where you can view different teams and book in periods of time where you'll be on vacation.
Admin and tech permissions should be able to add vacation periods for techs, and perhaps some sort of approval process can be applied so techs who don't have permission to fill out the vacation period can request the time off.
Just throwing ideas around, this could be a very beneficial feature if developed appropriately.
