Why do we need Approvals
1) To authorise tasks/work orders .
2) Documentation of the work process.
3) For IT audit & regulatory purpose.
WHD Can we do all of the above and what are the limitations.
Can we create approval process/workflow ?: Yes - Single & Multiple levels of approvals with individual approvals, Group(CAB) approvals, Department approvals (some limitation) & Location Approvals
Can we document the work flow : Yes, the tools can document this in the system & by sending mail to approver, requester & the tech who is work on the request.
Limitation: The ticket/ request approval information about who has approved the request can not be e-mail or reported or printed that means for all good reasons even though the tickets are capturing this in the WHD we cannot document the results of an approval process.
1) Sending a email that for a request has been approved by XYZ.
2) We cannot create a report that following are the request that have been approved by ????
3) If i use the print option on the ticket the data will be with out the approval information, If we use the web browser print to pdf option the approval section dose not capture the approved by information.
Can we use WHD for IT Audits or regulatory purpose: Yes, With third party reporting tools because the internal reporting tools do not provide any customisation & are limited to basic reporting. like above the approver information is missing in all the reports & restricted to ticket or assets or ... and cannot be combined.
We expect details reports: (printing, scheduling & email) using queries (from search) and customs fields from not just tickets but assets, locations & approvers
Email with better templates....
We see a lot of potential with WHD with this Feature request and hope Product team are viewing.
