I think it would be valuable to have a way to turn off alert acknowledgement completely for alerts. Although the NOC view is nice, for companies that might use a different tool for their NOC, the alerts might just sit and never get acknowledged which can build up in the database over time. This would also be useful for times when maybe an alert is only informational and doesn't need to be actively worked on. I.E. if I send a reminder to the NOC to do a routine task at a certain time everyday.
